About me

Introduction

My name is Joel Färnstrand, and I’m a junior full-stack developer from Sweden with a strong passion for technology.

I have been studying software development in a higher vocational education program for two years, and I will be graduating this summer. During my studies, I have explored various backend and frontend frameworks as well as different programming languages, allowing me to build a solid technical foundation.

Technical Skills

Throughout my education, I have primarily worked with C# for backend development and JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and HTML for web development. During my six-month internship, I also gained hands-on experience with PHP.

Recently, my interest in lower-level programming has grown, leading me to explore Python and C/C++. Additionally, I have experience working with databases such as MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB, and Firebase Firestore.

Experience and Projects

I have primarily worked on API development, web applications, mobile applications and smaller personal projects involving Python and C/C++.

While I don’t yet have professional work experience, I have completed several projects independently, which you can find in the Projects section. I thrive in a team environment, valuing different perspectives, but I also perform well when working independently.

Work Style and Values

I prefer working in an agile environment, and even in my personal projects, I apply Kanban to stay organized and efficient. I am particularly interested in Lean Development and would love to work in a professional setting where efficiency and continuous improvement are prioritized.

Personality and Ambitions

I am highly motivated by continuous learning and self-improvement. Programming has no limits, making it an endless source of fun and challenges. In the future, I would love to deepen my knowledge in embedded programming, as well as master Three.js to enhance the quality of my web development projects.
